I just want it to run as a service in the background, no task icon and especially don't want it to go away when I hit the red X to close it if it has to have a task icon.

Hello, yes, exactly that is possible with Check Host Pro. You just need to uninstall Check Host and install Check Host Pro instead. You can export and re-import all your checks. This way you don't need to enter your data again. Best regards Andreas
