Landscape/Portrait incorrect setting
The Druid, 2010-08-09 14:37:50
When I print with Free Image Printer the end result is always the wrong opposite orientation to what I selected.

If I set to print landscape, the result comes in a stretched portrait format, and if I set to print in portarit the result comes in a squashed landscape format.

Within Free Image Printer dialog, the result on the left is the corrent orientation but the preview on the right is always the opposite orientation, and wrong.

I have tried a number of applications, including something as simple as Notepad, and nothing works.

Is the a way yo fix this?

Hello,

sorry, but I can't reproduce this issue.

I get always the correct orientation.

Please check in the Free Image Printer driver options in the "Layout" tab if the correct orientation is selected here.

Best regards
Andreas

I've checked all the driver settings, and have even used the "Print Test Page" from the driver properties, so I know it is driver related, and not application related.

So far, I have been able to work around the problem by creating a new paper type, and switching the horizontal and vertical values, e.g. A4 becomes 297mm wide by 210mm high, and then leave the driver in portrait mode.

I have tried another image printer, and that doesn't exhibit the same problem (although it is not as feature rich, and doesn't support multiple paper sizes, so won't be using it again).

Do you have any suggestings on what I could check to resolve this issue? If necessary I can send a screenshot.
