| I just installed Download Speed Test. No matter which download link I use, it always fails. So, I figured, maybe it had something to do with the older version, and updated to the latest version. Same thing. How is this program supposed to be of any use? | |

| I am running the program and it shows that the download completed but it does not show any results just a "-" If running without stop, the results are the same -- no download speed results shown. | |

it should work with any direct download link (nomally ending with ".exe"). You can search e. g. on http://www.ab-downloads.com for download links to use with. Best regards Andreas | |

That's what I did. Most don't end with .exe, but I don't think it should matter. Either way, the program always gets an error the download failed. My only idea is if the program has a problem handling the download dialog, if that even pertains to it. Are there any Windoze settings that the program needs in order to function correctly? | |

| Hello Mizar,
no, there is no need to handle any download dialog by the program as it gets the file directly via a TCP/IP connection from the remote server. So it will work with any direct download link you find in the internet. Best regards Andreas | |

| Ok, I thought maybe the dialog didn't pertain to it. I used your download link as well, and it's always a failed download, no matter what. I give up. The program is completely defective on my system for some reason (common Win XP SP2). Thanks for trying to help, but it's useless and I'm uninstalling it. | |

| No, I don't have a firewall. I can download the file from your link no problem through my browser, it's just Download Speed Test that can't use it, or any link. | |
